Streetscape Project Notice September 2, 2019

Daily Construction Update for Monday, September 2, 2019

Main Street Streetscape Project

The Streetscape contractor, J. Pratt Construction, has been stocking materials and preparing for construction over the past week. Construction will begin at various locations to install new storm drainage throughout Main Street and will be mostly along the edge of the roadway. Expect minor delays as the contractor may need to close one lane of traffic depending on the location they are working. Some on-street parking may be closed as well while catch basins are installed. Storm drainage and water line improvements will be constructed the first few weeks of construction before work begins on sidewalk reconstruction.

Construction will “bounce around a little bit throughout the first weeks,” said Colin Dinsmore

“There’s little pockets where (underground utility work) is going to occur throughout the
whole project area,” he said.
