The Community Development Advisory Committee of the Town of Bridgton will hold a Public Hearing at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 to accept

oral and written comments on a proposed Community Development Advisory Committee Remote Participation Policy.

Road Closure – Smith Ave.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Please be advised that there will be a road closure on Smith Ave

on November 22nd & 23rd.

 

Detours will be in place redirecting traffic.

From the Kansas Road entry Maple Street will be accessible.

From the Portland Street entry the road will be closed before Maple Street.

Bi-Weekly Wastewater Collection System Upgrade Notice

At this time residents can expect that the roads will remain unpaved for at least the next several weeks. Sargent plans to come back through and pave each road once the sewer has been completed on multiple streets.

Area that have ongoing sewer work is: Church Street

Areas that has ongoing paving work are: Gage Street, Fowler Street, Walker Street, Cottage Street, Nulty Street, Park Street, Hilcrest Avenue, and Mechanic Street

Please be advised, that all baskets, pots, flowers, wreaths, and any other temporary grave decorations

must be removed from all Bridgton town-maintained cemeteries

by Monday, November 15, 2021.

Parking Ban

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

** November 15, 2021 – April 15, 2022 **

During the above dates, no vehicle shall be parked on any public street or way from 11:00p.m. to 7:00a.m.,

as per MRSA 29A Section 2068-2069 and the Bridgton Traffic Ordinance adopted January 10, 1995

and amended August 27, 1996 and October 25, 2005.

 

A town-wide parking ban may be called for with notification.

Vehicles may be towed at owner’s expense.

Halloween Festivities in Bridgton 2021

Elm, Bennet, Iredale, and Chase St will be closed for Trick or Treating on October 31, 2021 from 4-9pm.
The lights at Jr Harmon Field will be turned on for extra lighting for trick or treaters to walk down lower Main St safely. The bathrooms will be open for those who need a quick break. The bathrooms will be open starting 4:00 and will be locked at 9:30 PM.
The Town Hall and Ice Rink will be open for it’s Zombie Haunted Walk and Laser Tag will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:30 to 9:30. Rain or shine. Parking for this is at Highland Lake Beach or Upper Main Street Parking Lot.
Trunk or Treat will be on Sunday 6:00pm to 8:00pm at SBES.

Now Accepting Sealed Bids – Highland Beach Sidewalk Project

SEALED PROPOSALS DUE: 2:00 PM, Friday, November 12, 2021

 

The Town of Bridgton will accept sealed Proposals for the design, engineering, construction bid assistance and construction management of the Highland Beach Sidewalk Extension Project, located on Highland Road in Bridgton, ME. The Project generally consists of construction of a new 4-foot-wide concrete sidewalk with granite curbing on Highland Road from the end of existing sidewalk at Shorey Park to Kennard Street. The Project will be carried out under the Federal Community Development Block Grant program, which requires compliance with the Federal Davis-Bacon Act for the construction phase of the project. The design, engineering, construction bid documents and construction bid assistance shall be complete and construction bid award recommendations received by December 31, 2021 for a construction start in early Spring 2022.

Paper copies may be obtained from the Bridgton Community Development Director’s Office at 3 Chase Street, Suite 1, Bridgton, ME 04009 via in-person pick-up or via mail. Prospective Applicants may also examine and download the Proposal Documents on the Town website (www.BridgtonMaine.org). Applicants shall have obtained at least one set of electronic or paper Proposal Documents from the Bridgton Community Development Director’s Office to be considered a responsive Applicant.

Complete written proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes plainly marked “Highland Beach Sidewalk Expansion Project” to:
