NOTICE OF ROAD POSTING

The Town of Bridgton Roads are now posted in accordance with MRS Title 29-A Section 2395.

This is done to protect our roadways from damage during the thaw cycle.

SOUTH BRIDGTON

Burnham Road, Willis Park Road, Ingalls Road, Fosterville Road (to end), Winn Road, Swamp Road, North Road, Raspberry Lane, and Camp Pondicherry Road, Pinhook Rd, Wildwood and Moose Cove Lodge.

WEST BRIDGTON

Mountain Road, Stack Em Inn, Hio Ridge Road, Sam Ingalls Road, Whitney Road, Highland Pines Road, Millbrook Road, Harmon Road, Isaac Stevens Road, Kilgore Road, Cedar Drive, Keene Lane, Kendall Ham, East Pondicherry Road, West Pondicherry Road, and South Bay Road (Knights Hill Development).

of 11:00 p.m. this evening until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Storm Damage 12/19/2023

Storm Damage

Please be advised that our crews are out working on repairing storm damage from yesterday’s heavy rains and winds.

We appreciate your patience as we prioritize the most urgent needs and are working diligently to get to everyone as soon as possible.

  As previously published on this page, just a reminder that from November 20th to April 15th, no vehicle shall be parked on the public street or way, from 11pm to 7am, per the Bridgton Traffic Ordinance.

As per MRSA 17A Section 505 and MRSA 29A Section 2396, no person(s) shall plow, shovel, or otherwise deposit snow, into the limits of any traveled public way.

It is important to keep your driveways and private roads cleared and sanded, so that if the need arises, emergency personnel can safely access your property.

Regarding weather events … please be aware that we post information on the Town’s Facebook page, the Town’s website, and all of the local television channels are notified, if and when, the Town Office is closed.

Snow & Parking Ban Information

PUBLIC NOTICE

Beginning November 20, 2023, through April 15, 2024, no vehicle shall be parked on any public street or way from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. as per MRSA 29A Section 2068-2069 and the Bridgton Traffic Ordinance adopted January 10, 1995, and amended August 27, 1996, and October 25, 2005.

A town-wide parking ban may be called for with notification.
Vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Also, please take note:
Per §2396. Certain substances on public ways: “Snow: A person may not place and allow to remain on a public way snow or slush that has not accumulated there naturally.”

Cemetery Winter Preparations

Cemeteries Notification

Please be advised that we have begun the process of cleaning up our cemetery grounds in preparation for the winter season.

As we ask annually, please make sure that all of your baskets, pots and flowers are removed from all town-maintained cemeteries.

If you have not already done so, please make sure these are removed by November 1st.
