REQUEST FOR BIDS:
MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: 8:30 AM, Thursday, May 14th, 2020
SEALED BIDS DUE: 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 26th 2020

Sealed proposals are being accepted for the Town of Bridgton, Bridgton Community Center Project (the “Project”), which consists of obtaining competitive bids from responsible and responsive Contractors to:

Remove and replace exterior door hardware to include replacement of exit devices, lock sets, door closers and weather-stripping as noted. Remove and dispose of all interior carpeting, prepare floor for installation of carpet tiles. Provide services as required to relocate and put back all furnishings and boxed goods in areas to be carpeted. Provide for the installation of Qty-2 dual LED flood lamp fixtures to the rear of the building in conduit evenly spaced as directed by the owner. Provide interior mounted switch and photo eye(s). Provide Qty-2 double gang 20 amp exterior GFI outlets in conduit to the rear of the building evenly spaced as directed by the owner. Test all interior duplex outlets for proper operation. Carry the cost for replacement Qty-12 and provide cost to owner for additional outlets as per requested/required.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday May 14, 2020 8:30 AM at the Bridgton Community Center 15 Depot Street, Bridgton, ME 04009 to examine the work site. Attendance at this meeting by the Contractor or the Contractor’s qualified representative is a mandatory prerequisite for the acceptance of a bid from that Contractor. The pre bid will be conducted in accordance with social distancing and all bidders will be required to wear face masks. Any questions will be addressed in writing and distributed to all interested bidders.

Bid results will also be posted on the Town’s web site for public viewing. Except as provided herein, the Town shall award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. To be considered responsive, bidders must provide enough information with their bids to constitute a definite, firm, unqualified, and unconditional offer.
