Fidium Fiber Build Out Update

The Fidium Fiber build out for Consolidated Communications will continue their underground night work on North High Street from Main Street to Mountain Road. The build out will take place between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

Additional updates will be provided as the build out progresses throughout the Town.

The Bridgton Planning Board will conduct a Public Hearing at The Bridgton Town Office, Three Chase Street, Suite 1, Bridgton, Maine on Monday, June 26, 2023, beginning at 5:00p.m. to consider the following:

An application filed by Main Eco Homes for a project entitled “Makers Mill”, located on Main St, Bridgton, Maine 04009, known as Bridgton Tax Map 23 Lots 108 & 109.

The application is available for viewing at the Bridgton Town Office by appointment only. All interested individuals are invited to attend at the above place and time or may participate via Zoom.

Transfer Station Scale

The Fidium Fiber build out for Consolidated Communications will continue their underground night work on Main Street this week between North High Street and Harrison Road. The build out will take place between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.  Their aerial crew will begin their work on Monday, June 5th during the day from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They will be working on Harrison Road, Main Street, North High Street, and South High Street.

 

Additional updates will be provided as the build out progresses throughout the Town.

The build out will take place between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. The underground crews will begin their work on Main Street between North High Street and Harrison Road. Town Clerk’s Office Hours’ Notice

The Town Clerk’s Office will be open on Thursday, June 8th from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.  for the purpose of accepting voter registration and other election related issues.  No other town business will be conducted during this time.

The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed on Tuesday, June 13th for staff administration of the Annual Election.

Road Conditions & Reporting Notice

Due to the recent heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding, we are experiencing numerous road washouts and impassable road conditions throughout our community. We urge all residents and commuters to exercise extreme caution while traveling and adhere to the following guidelines:

• If your road is impassible or you have encountered a road that is impassible, please shelter in place or turn around and report it to the Town office at:
207-647-8786, email directly to the Public Services Assistant at dkiriaji@bridgtonmaine.org, or you can always report using the online reporting form on our website.

• If you are in immediate danger or require emergency assistance, please dial 911.

• Do not attempt to drive through flooded roads or areas with visible water over the road. The depth and strength of the water may be deceptive, and it may pose a significant danger to your safety.

• Please follow any posted detour routes and observe all traffic signs and signals.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to address these challenging conditions. Our crews and Maine DOT are working diligently to assess, and repair affected roadways as quickly and safely as possible.

Night Work Beginning 05/01/2023

Night work has been postponed due to weather. 

TOWN OF BRIDGTON
PUBLIC NOTICE

NIGHT WORK will be conducted by Sargent Corporation, at various points across North High Street beginning at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 6:00 a.m. starting Monday, May 1st, 2023. Night work is expected to be completed for approximately 2.5 weeks. Traffic is expected to limited to one lane and flaggers will be present for traffic control purposes.

Bi-Weekly Wastewater Collection System Upgrade Notice

Construction resumed on Monday, April 17th.

Crews will begin working on Sewer Main Line and Lateral work on North High Street, South High Street, Depot Street, Crocket Street, and Frances Bell Drive.

Night work is planned for North and South High Street beginning next week. Updates will be posted as they become available.

Apex is continuing their work on the Wastewater Treatment Facility and Site.

CDBG GRANT FUNDING

PUBLIC NOTICE MOVED TO NEW DATE

The Municipal Officers of the Town of Bridgton will hold a Public Hearing at 5:30 P.M., Tuesday March 14, 2023, on the Community Development Advisory Committee recommendations to the Selectboard for funding the 2023-2024 Community Block Grant applications.

The applications will be posted at the Town Office. The meeting will be held in person and remote access will be provided. Information on how to participate remotely will be published at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
