NIGHT WORK will be conducted by Sargent Corporation, at the intersection of Main Street/ Pleasant Street, Bridgton beginning at midnight on Monday, August 1, 2022 and construction will continue through the day. Cooling Center Notice – 07/21 & 07/22 – Bridgton Community Center

Town of Bridgton Cooling Center 

HAZY, HOT AND HUMID!! With the forecast in the high 90’s and high humidity, a cooling center has been set up Thursday, July 21, 2022 and Friday, July 22, 2022 from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot Street, Bridgton (207-647-3116) for people to take refuge from the heat.

 

Annual Board Training 08/08/2022

PUBLIC NOTICE

On Monday, August 8, 2022, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Bridgton Town Office, 10 Iredale Street, Bridgton, Maine, there will be a legal training for the Board of Selectman, Planning Board, and Appeals Board, which may also include support staff. Although there will be a quorum of members present representing each Board, no official business will be conducted.

Members of the public may observe, but may not participate, in this Annual Board Training.

Friendly reminder regarding signs

The Code Enforcement Officer and Public Services Department have been removing several signs from the town parks.

No sign, except for municipal signs, may be
erected, installed or displayed in or within ten (10) feet
of any park, garden or monument owned or maintained by
the Town of Bridgton.

If your sign has been taken down and you would like to pick it up. You can pick them up at the Public Works Department. They are located on the left side of the building.

Senior Tax Assistance Program Information

Senior Tax Assistance Program

Applications are now being accepted by the Town of Bridgton for the Senior Tax Assistance Program. This program was approved at Town Meeting on June 14, 2022. Applications must be submitted by August 1, 2022, for review. A copy of the ordinance, an informational flyer, and the application are below.

Appointments will be scheduled with each applicant on Monday, August 15, 2022, to discuss eligibility. Please call the Town Office at 207-647-8786 and ask for the Senior Tax Program or send an email request to taxrelief@bridgtonmaine.org
