The Bridgton Planning Board will conduct a Public Hearing at The Bridgton Town Office, 3 Chase Street, Suite 1, Bridgton, Maine on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, beginning at 5:00p.m. to consider the following:
An application filed by Maine Survey Consultants, Inc. for a project entitled “Viola Subdivision”, located on North Bridgton Road, Bridgton, Maine 04009, known as Bridgton Tax Map 21 Lot 26A.
The application is available for viewing at the Bridgton Town Office by appointment only. All interested individuals are invited to attend at the above place and time or may participate via Zoom.
The Municipal office will be closed Tuesday, March 5th for staff administration of the election. We will resume regular business hours on Wednesday , March 6th.

The Town of Bridgton Roads are now posted in accordance with MRS Title 29-A Section 2395.
This is done to protect our roadways from damage during the thaw cycle.

Land Use Ordinance
The Planning Board for the Town of Bridgton will hold a public hearing on February 20, 2024 at 5pm, on a proposed amendments to the Town of Bridgton Land Use Ordinance, pursuant to 30-A M.R.S.A. § 4352. The proposed amendments pertain to compliance with the proposed Mass Gathering Ordinance, and these amendments will be conditional upon a majority vote in favor of the Mass Gathering Ordinance in the June election.

The proposed amendments pertain to minimum lot size in the Rural Neighborhood District.

The Planning Board for the Town of Bridgton will hold a public hearing on January 30, 2024 at 5 pm on a proposed amendments to the Town of Bridgton Land Use Ordinance, pursuant to 30-A M.R.S.A. § 4352. The proposed amendments pertain to compliance with recent state legislation (see below).
“PL 2021, Ch. 672, “An Act To Implement the Recommendations of the Commission To Increase Housing Opportunities in Maine by Studying Zoning and Land Use Restrictions,” generally referred to by its legislative tracking name of LD 2003, was signed into law by Governor Mills on April 27, 2022. This law is designed to remove unnecessary regulatory barriers to housing production in Maine, while preserving local ability to create land use plans and protect sensitive environmental resources. LD 2003 is based on the recommendations of the legislative commission named in the title, though not all those recommendations are included in the enacted legislation.” – Maine DECD

On Thursday, January 25, 2024, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Bridgton Town Office, 10 Iredale Street, Bridgton, Maine, there will be a legal training for the Planning Board and support staff. Although there will be a quorum of members present representing each Board, no official business will be conducted.
Members of the public may observe, but may not participate, in this Annual Board Training.

There will be a parking ban in place from 12:00 a.m. Sunday, January 7th until Monday, January 8th at 7:00 a.m.
Rt 302 will be closed until further notice at the intersection of Stanley Hill Rd in Fryeburg. Detour signs will be posted at Knights Hill Rd in Bridgton.
Local traffic will be able to proceed on Rt 302 as far as Stanley Hill Rd.
